Team members work closely with local authorities, schools, and families to ensure children receive holistic support tailored to their individual needs.Role Description The Residential Child Care Worker is a full-time, on-site role based in Lymington. This position involves providing day-to-day care, supervision, and support to children and young people in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional security. Responsibilities include helping children develop life skills, supporting their education, managing daily routines, and promoting positive behavior through consistent boundaries and encouragement. The role also includes record-keeping, attending meetings with external professionals, participating in care planning, and contributing to activities and events that enhance social, recreational, and educational development. The Residential Child Care Worker will collaborate closely with colleagues to maintain a supportive, child-centered environment aligned with regulatory and safeguarding standards.Qualifications Ideally childcare and working with children skills, including experience in residential or similar care settings, but not essential.Training skills, including willingness to undertake relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent).Good communication, relationship-building skills with children, families, and professionals.Ability to work flexibly in a rota pattern, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Basic IT and record-keeping skills for maintaining records.
