Faculty work closely with learners to build strong academic foundations and the aptitude required for defence and professional entrance examinations.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Residential English Teacher role based in Jammu. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum and the academy’s academic standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assigning and assessing homework, evaluating student performance, and providing individual academic support where needed. The role also involves mentoring learners in communication skills relevant for competitive exams, maintaining classroom discipline, coordinating with other faculty members, and participating in co-curricular and remedial sessions. As a residential position, the teacher may also support hostel-based academic activities and contribute to a structured, learner-centered environment.Qualifications Strong command of English language and literature, with the ability to teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing skills effectively.Experience teaching CBSE curriculum or similar school boards, including lesson planning, assessment design, and classroom management.Ability to coach learners in spoken English, public speaking, and exam-oriented communication skills for defence and professional entrance examinations.Capability to support residential learners, including academic mentoring outside classroom hours and contributing to a disciplined, supportive campus environment.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.Prior experience in a boarding school or coaching/defence academy setting is an advantage.Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a learner-centric approach, with the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and administration.Comfort with basic educational technology for lesson delivery, assignments, and communication.
