Resource & Delivery Ops - Manager

Job PurposeThis manager-level role is accountable for leading both Resource Management and Delivery Operations across the Cyber Defense business. The role ensures optimal workforce planning, capacity management, and resource utilization to meet current and future delivery demands, while driving operational excellence through robust governance, standardized processes, performance management, and commercial oversight. Partnering closely with Delivery Leadership, Project Managers, Line Managers, Finance, and the PMO, the incumbent will establish data-driven operating practices that enhance delivery efficiency, resource effectiveness, and overall business performance.Workforce Planning & Demand ForecastingLead workforce forecasting and demand planning, partnering with Delivery leadership, Project Managers, and Line Managers to align capacity with the project pipeline and business priorities.Translate the sales and delivery pipeline into future skill and headcount requirements, flagging gaps and surpluses ahead of time.Support organisational and hiring decisions through scenario-based workforce models and data-driven recommendations.Capacity, Utilisation & OptimizationOwn capacity management and resource allocation across projects, ensuring full visibility of availability, skills, and utilisation.Drive utilisation, billability, and resource efficiency through data analysis, reporting, and actionable recommendations.Optimise the deployment of resources across engagements, balancing delivery commitments, development needs, and cost.Systems, Data & ReportingOwn the accuracy and integrity of resourcing systems and data, ensuring reliable reporting and insights for leadership decision-making.Administer and maintain the resource management system – configuration, user access, and workflow setup – in coordination with IT.Monitor timesheet compliance and support the implementation of resourcing governance processes.Delivery Governance & ProcessOwn the day-to-day delivery operations backbone, standardising processes, tooling, and ways of working across the Cyber Defense portfolio.Establish and enforce delivery governance, including project setup, stage gates, quality checkpoints, and reporting cadences.Maintain delivery methodologies, playbooks, and operational documentation, driving continuous improvement across engagements.Delivery Governance & ProcessOwn the day-to-day delivery operations backbone, standardising processes, tooling, and ways of working across the Cyber Defense portfolio.Establish and enforce delivery governance, including project setup, stage gates, quality checkpoints, and reporting cadences.Maintain delivery methodologies, playbooks, and operational documentation, driving continuous improvement across engagements.Performance, Commercials & StakeholdersTrack delivery performance against scope, schedule, budget, and margin, producing dashboards and executive reporting for the VP – Cyber Defense.Partner with Finance and Project Managers on project financials, revenue recognition, billing accuracy, and margin protection.Manage operational risks, dependencies, and escalations, acting as a central coordination point for delivery stakeholders and clients.Skills/Certifications (Technical & Non-Technical)Strong Excel and data-analysis skills; hands-on experience with resourcing, PSA, or ERP tools (Microsoft Dynamics 365 an advantage).Working knowledge of project and delivery management and PMO practices; PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent certification is a plus.Proven ability to translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.Highly organised and detail-oriented, comfortable operating in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.Familiarity with cybersecurity or IT-services delivery models is an advantage,Minimum Work Experience9-14 years in resource management, workforce planning, or delivery operations within a fast-paced client-services environment (management consulting, professional services, or technology services).Demonstrated experience managing resource allocation and/or delivery operations across multiple projects or business units.Experience in cybersecurity or IT services is a plus.EducationBachelor’s degree in business, Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline.A relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA) is an advantage.
