Team members can build long-term careers while contributing to a trusted and well-recognized global brand.Role Description The Restaurant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Oakland, CA, responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations and ensuring an outstanding guest experience. This role manages and coaches team members, leads shift execution, and maintains high standards for food quality, safety, cleanliness, and service. The Restaurant Manager monitors sales performance, controls labor and food costs, and supports local marketing initiatives to drive revenue and profitability. Day-to-day responsibilities include scheduling staff, managing inventory, handling cash operations, and resolving guest concerns in a professional manner. The Restaurant Manager also supports hiring, training, performance feedback, and fosters an inclusive, collaborative work environment aligned with Panda Restaurant Group’s mission and values.Qualifications Experience in restaurant or retail management, including supervising teams, delegating tasks, and leading shifts effectively.Strong customer service and hospitality skills, with the ability to create positive guest experiences and professionally address concerns.Operational skills in food safety, sanitation, inventory management, cash handling, and adherence to company policies and local regulations.Basic business and financial acumen, including understanding of sales targets, labor scheduling, cost control, and performance metrics.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate diverse teams, provide clear feedback, and support conflict resolution.Organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks, manage busy periods, and maintain a clean, efficient work environment.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required for restaurant operations.Previous experience in quick-service or full-service dining is preferred; experience in Asian cuisine or multicultural environments is a plus.High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality, business, or management is an asset.Commitment to fostering a respectful, inclusive workplace and supporting the development and growth of team members.
