Role Description The Director role at Oscar Wylee is a full-time, on-site position based in Kandy. This role is responsible for overseeing store operations, guiding optometry and retail teams, and ensuring high standards of patient care and customer service. The Director will manage performance, support staff development, and maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Daily responsibilities include reviewing business metrics, optimizing workflows, coordinating marketing or promotional activities, and driving initiatives that improve profitability and customer satisfaction. The Director will collaborate closely with senior leadership to implement strategic plans and support continued growth in the region.QualificationsDemonstrated leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, coaching, and performance management.Operational management experience in retail, healthcare, or a related service environment, with strengths in workflow optimization and process improvement.Experience with customer service and patient care environments, with a focus on delivering consistent, high-quality experiences.Business acumen in areas such as sales, budgeting, and basic financial analysis to support store performance and growth.Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with team members and senior leadership.Ability to work on-site in Kandy, adapt to a dynamic environment, and make data-informed decisions under time constraints.Previous experience in optometry, optical retail, or healthcare management is highly regarded.Bachelor’s degree in business, management, healthcare administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
