Restructuring Associate – Investment Banking

On behalf of our client, a well-established Dubai-based investment-banking and financial-services platform, we are seeking an Associate to join its Restructuring and Special Situations advisory team.This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-profile mandates across the GCC and wider MENA region, including financial restructurings, refinancings, recapitalisations, distressed M&A and capital-raising transactions. The successful candidate will work closely with senior bankers, corporate management teams, shareholders, lenders and external advisers.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport execution of restructuring, refinancing, recapitalisation, liability-management and special-situations assignments.Build and maintain detailed financial models, including integrated three-statement models, liquidity forecasts, debt-capacity analyses, recovery assessments and scenario cases.Analyse capital structures, debt documentation, financing options and stakeholder outcomes.Prepare client presentations, board materials, valuation analyses, creditor materials, information memoranda and transaction documentation.Coordinate financial, commercial and legal diligence processes with management teams and external advisers.Support negotiations with lenders, shareholders, investors and other stakeholders.Conduct company, industry, market and comparable-company research.Assist senior team members with transaction origination and pitch preparation.Candidate Profile3–5 years of experience in investment banking, restructuring, leveraged finance, debt advisory, valuation, transaction services, private credit or special situations.Prior restructuring, refinancing or liability-management experience is highly desirable.Strong financial modelling, valuation and financial-statement analysis capabilities.Understanding of debt structures, capital markets, credit agreements and corporate finance.Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills, with strong attention to detail.Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working with senior stakeholders.Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline.CFA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualifications are beneficial but not essential.GCC or MENA transaction exposure is advantageous.Fluent English required; Arabic would be beneficial.The OpportunityWork on sophisticated capital-structure and restructuring mandates across a rapidly developing regional market.Gain direct exposure to senior clients, lenders, shareholders, legal advisers and investors.Join a lean, entrepreneurial team offering meaningful responsibility and hands-on transaction execution.Build a differentiated track record across restructuring, special situations, debt advisory and strategic corporate finance.Competitive, tax-free compensation package aligned with experience and performance.
