Retail Assistants

We’re hiring for the position of Retail Assistant across the retail departments at The British Museum.If you’re looking for a new challenge and you’re able to commit to full time hours, following a rolling rota (4 on and 2 off), this role is for you.The roleAssisting/serving customers inside the shops with their purchasesGeneral cleaning duties in the shopTaking cash and card payments on an EPOS till systemRestocking the displaysProviding information about the exhibitions and the MuseumSound like you?DBS Holder (paper certificate no older than 5 years)Excellent customer service skillsGood with numbersWorks well as a teamHard-workingAble to work under pressurePositive attitudePrevious retail experience is crucialApplicants will need to be available to work up to 2 late nights per week although this may not be required that often. Possible shift patterns are 9.45-17.30, 11.00-18.45, 13.30-21.15.
