About the jobPosition Summary:The Convenience Store Operations Manager is responsible for driving the operational excellence, profitability, and consistency of the convenience store business. This role focuses on optimizing store processes, reducing inventory shrinkage, managing human resources, and executing daily sales strategies to ensure an exceptional, customer-first shopping environment. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day store operations to ensure maximum efficiency, cleanliness, and strict adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct regular operational audits and store visits to monitor facility maintenance, security protocols, and visual merchandising.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize inventory management systems to ensure high product availability while minimizing waste, stockouts, and excess capital tied up in stock.
• Lead routine and periodic physical inventory counts and audits
• Implement strict loss prevention protocols to aggressively monitor and reduce shrinkage (theft, damage, and administrative errors).
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Sales Growth, Average Transaction Value (ATV), Units Per Transaction (UPT), and gross profit margins.
• Oversee cash management processes, including register reconciliations, safe audits, and secure banking procedures.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate store supervisors, cashiers, and stock staff to cultivate a high-performance, accountable workplace culture.
• Design and deliver continuous in-store training programs, focusing on customer service standards, POS system mastery, and workplace safety.
• Coordinate staff scheduling to guarantee maximum floor coverage during peak hours while controlling overtime expenses.
• Champion a "customer-first" mindset across all shifts, ensuring complaints or escalated issues are handled swiftly and professionally.
• Coordinate and execute in-store marketing initiatives, seasonal promotions, and localized branding displays to increase foot traffic. Job RequirementsEducation & Experience
• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent practical retail experience).
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive retail management experience, specifically within convenience stores, supermarkets, or fast-paced retail environments.
• For multi-unit roles: Proven track record managing multiple store locations is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with modern Retail POS systems, automated inventory management software, and electronic workforce scheduling tools.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets for report tracking is essential.
