Retail Operations Manager - Home FurnishingKey ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operations of multiple retail stores.Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales, profitability and business targets.Monitor key retail KPIs such as sales, conversion, ATV, UPT, margins, productivity and customer satisfaction.Analyse store performance and take corrective actions where required.Lead, coach and develop Store Managers and retail teams.Conduct regular store visits, performance reviews and operational audits.Maintain high standards of customer service, store presentation, housekeeping and overall customer experience.Work closely with Visual Merchandising teams on displays, campaigns and promotions.Oversee stock availability, inventory accuracy, replenishment, stock movement and ageing stock.Monitor shrinkage, damages and stock discrepancies and take corrective action.Ensure smooth execution of promotions, pricing changes, product launches and seasonal activities.Manage store operating expenses and improve cost efficiency.Support manpower planning, recruitment, training, performance management and employee development.Ensure appropriate staffing levels and workforce productivity across stores.Support new store openings, relocations, refurbishments and other retail projects.Coordinate with HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing, VM, IT and Projects teams.Monitor customer feedback and complaints and implement improvements.Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, health & safety and operational standards.Prepare regular performance reports for senior management.Drive a culture of accountability, customer focus and continuous improvement.Ensure stores are operationally ready during peak seasons and major campaigns.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Operations or a related field.10+ years of experience in retail operations, with strong multi-store management experience.UAE/GCC retail experience is essential.Experience in home furnishings, furniture, home décor, lifestyle, department stores, large-format or similar retail is highly preferred.Strong track record of achieving sales, profitability and operational targets.Experience managing and developing Store Managers and large retail teams.Strong knowledge of retail KPIs, store P&L and commercial performance.Good understanding of inventory management, replenishment, customer experience, visual merchandising and loss prevention.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience managing store budgets, operating costs and manpower productivity.Good knowledge of retail SOPs, audits and compliance.Experience with new store openings, relocations or refurbishments is an advantage.Strong Excel and MS Office skills; knowledge of ERP/POS systems is preferred.Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.Hands-on approach with strong decision-making abilities.Ability to manage multiple stores in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.Willingness to travel between stores across the UAE.Strong customer-focused mindset.
