The company is dedicated to transforming the customer shopping experience through superior service and quality products.Role Description The Retail Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Birmingham, Alabama Area, working within an ASHLEY Furniture showroom. This role involves greeting customers, understanding their needs, and guiding them through product options to help them select furniture and accessories that fit their lifestyles and budgets. Daily responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date product knowledge, presenting features and benefits clearly, creating quotes, processing orders, and following up on leads. The associate will also help maintain a clean and appealing showroom, support merchandising efforts, and collaborate with distribution and customer care teams to ensure smooth delivery and after-sales service. This position requires consistent adherence to company sales processes, customer service standards, and performance goals.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Retail Sales and Sales skills to engage customers, meet sales goals, and close transactions effectively.Candidates should possess solid Product Knowledge skills to explain features, benefits, pricing, and configuration options for furniture and related accessories.Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to build rapport, listen actively, and resolve questions or concerns professionally.Candidates should possess general customer-facing and teamwork skills, including reliability, professional demeanor, and the ability to collaborate with store and distribution teams.Previous experience in retail, furniture, or home goods sales is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.Ability to work on-site, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled, and to stand and walk for extended periods.Basic computer proficiency for using point-of-sale systems, customer relationship tools, and inventory software.Compensation & Benefits: Base pay + uncapped commissionYearly bonus potential up to $15,000Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance401(k) with company matchPaid Time Off & Sick PayGenerous Employee DiscountWe’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
