It is a place people want to discover, return to and talk about.We value curiosity, initiative, good judgment and a genuine interest in people, culture and the world around us.The RoleWe are looking for a Retail Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day life and performance of Palabres.This is a role combining people, operations, customer experience and commercial performance. You will ensure that the space runs smoothly, looks and feels right, and delivers an experience that reflects what Palabres stands for.You will lead the store team, oversee daily operations, support sales and customer relationships, and ensure the space remains dynamic, welcoming and impeccably presented.You will also contribute to the development of the business — identifying opportunities, solving problems, bringing ideas to the table and helping turn them into reality.The role requires someone comfortable moving between the big picture and the smallest detail, with the ability to make decisions, take ownership and keep things moving.What we’re looking forExperience in retail, hospitality, lifestyle, creative or other customer-facing environments.Strong leadership and people skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and hold a team accountable.A natural understanding of customer experience and what makes people want to engage, stay and come back.Commercial awareness and confidence working with sales, targets, stock and day-to-day business performance.A strong eye for presentation, detail and atmosphere.Highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities.Strong communication skills and the ability to build genuine relationships with customers, colleagues and partners.Fluent in English and French; a third language is a plus.Curiosity, good judgment and a willingness to challenge the obvious.Previous experience managing a flagship, boutique, gallery, concept store or similar environment is a plus.Experience in art, design, fashion, culture or hospitality is a plus — but attitude and fit matter more than industry background.
