Retail Store Manager

Operations ManagerAbout the RoleThe Store Supervisor / Shift In-Charge will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of assigned Retail and F&B outlets at Patna Airport. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining operational and hygiene standards, managing cash and stock, and ensuring compliance with company and airport regulations.Key Responsibilities1. Store & Shift OperationsOversee all store operations during the assigned shift to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and airport regulations.Manage staff deployment and ensure proper shift handovers.Monitor overall outlet performance and address operational issues promptly.2. Staff ManagementSupervise staff performance, attendance, grooming, discipline, and workplace conduct.Allocate duties and responsibilities to team members based on operational requirements.Ensure adequate manpower deployment during each shift.Support training and on-the-job guidance for staff.3. Customer ServiceEnsure high standards of customer service across Retail and F&B outlets.Handle customer queries and complaints professionally and ensure timely service recovery.Monitor customer experience and take corrective action wherever required.4. Retail & F&B OperationsEnsure proper product display, availability, and presentation in retail outlets.Monitor food quality, freshness, hygiene, and presentation in F&B outlets.Ensure outlet cleanliness and maintenance as per company and brand standards.Monitor product availability and coordinate timely replenishment.5. Billing & Cash ManagementMonitor sales transactions and ensure billing accuracy.Ensure safe and proper handling of cash and other payment methods.Conduct end-of-shift cash reconciliation and report discrepancies, if any.Ensure proper submission of daily sales and cash records.6. Stock & Inventory CoordinationCoordinate with Warehouse and Procurement teams for timely replenishment of stock and raw materials.Monitor stock availability and identify shortages or operational requirements.Ensure proper handling, storage, and movement of products and materials.Maintain accurate stock-related records and reports.7. Compliance, Safety & HygieneEnsure compliance with airport authority regulations and company policies.Maintain required standards of food safety, hygiene, cleanliness, security, and workplace safety.Ensure employees follow prescribed grooming and hygiene standards.Report any safety, security, hygiene, or compliance concerns to management immediately.8. Reporting & DocumentationPrepare and submit daily shift reports covering sales, attendance, operational performance, and other required details.Maintain all operational records and submit them to the Head Office on a regular basis.Ensure accurate and timely submission of all required reports and documents.Escalate operational issues, incidents, and discrepancies to the reporting manager.Additional ResponsibilitiesPerform any other duties related to store operations, administration, or support functions as assigned by the Company from time to time.Support management in achieving sales, service, operational, and compliance objectives.Required Skills & CompetenciesGood communication and interpersonal skills.Strong team-handling and supervisory skills.Customer service-oriented approach.Basic knowledge of billing, cash handling, and inventory management.Ability to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced airport environment.Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.Basic knowledge of MS Office/Google Sheets and reporting systems.Qualification & ExperienceEducation: Graduate preferred; relevant diploma/certification may also be considered.Experience: 3–7 years of experience in Retail, F&B, Hospitality, Airport Operations, or a similar supervisory role.Candidates with experience in airport retail/F&B operations will be preferred.Reporting StructureReports To: Sr. Operations Manager
