We’re looking for an energetic and engaging Training Specialist who is passionate about developing others and creating learning experiences that make an impact.In this highly visible role, you’ll deliver comprehensive new-hire training for Ashley Retail Sales Associates, primarily in person within our retail stores. You’ll help new team members develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to successfully transition from training to the sales floor.If you’re a dynamic facilitator who enjoys coaching others, creating engaging learning experiences, and working in a fast-paced retail environment, this could be a great opportunity for you.What You’ll DoLead new-hire onboarding for Ashley Retail Sales Associates through engaging, instructor-led training in retail store environments, with virtual training utilized as business needs require.Facilitate training across critical areas including sales processes and behaviors, product knowledge, sleep and bedding, systems and technology, point-of-sale and order-entry processes, and operational procedures.Bring learning to life through demonstrations, hands-on activities, practice scenarios, scrimmages, knowledge checks, and Learning Validations.Create an inclusive, learner-focused environment that encourages participation, skill practice, questions, and engagement.Adapt your facilitation style to meet the needs of different audiences, experience levels, and learning styles while maintaining consistency across training programs.Provide timely and constructive coaching to help new team members strengthen their knowledge, skills, and confidence.Assess learner readiness and identify team members who may need additional coaching, reinforcement, or support.Ensure new hires have the appropriate systems access, tools, technology, and learning resources needed to successfully perform their roles.Track attendance, participation, required learning completion, Learning Validation results, and overall training progress.Communicate learner progress, performance, readiness, and development needs to the Learning Delivery Manager and appropriate business leaders.Prepare training rooms, materials, technology, and resources for both in-person and virtual learning sessions.Partner with store leadership and cross-functional teams to create a smooth and successful onboarding experience.Provide practical feedback to the Learning & Development team to help keep training materials current, relevant, and aligned with evolving products, systems, processes, and business needs.Represent Ashley’s Training & Education team professionally while demonstrating Ashley’s Core and Growth Values.What You’ll BringWe’re looking for someone who can connect with people, command a training room, and turn information into an engaging learning experience.The ideal candidate will bring:Strong facilitation, presentation, coaching, and communication skillsThe ability to engage learners and make complex information easy to understand and applyConfidence facilitating both in-person and virtual trainingStrong organization and attention to detail when managing multiple classes, learners, and training requirementsThe ability to provide constructive coaching and adjust your approach based on individual learner needsComfort working with technology, business systems, and learning toolsA collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships with store leaders and business partnersFlexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving retail environmentA passion for helping others learn, grow, and succeedTravelThis is a highly travel-focused position, with approximately 85% travel required.The Training Specialist will travel regularly to Ashley retail locations to deliver new-hire training and support onboarding.
