The role focuses on verifying market settlements, customer billing revenues, and contract-based charges to ensure accurate revenue recognition, compliance with market rules, and alignment with Retail Supply Contracts (RSCs) and applicable market settlements. Key Responsibilities· Assist in reviewing and validating settlement statements related to energy purchases and sales, including market settlement data, metered quantities, and price components.· Reconcile Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) settlement data with customer billing, Retail Supply Contracts (RSCs), and internal trading or nomination records.· Validate customer consumption data against metering reports and settlement quantities to ensure accurate billing and revenue capture.· Support revenue checking by comparing billed revenues against contracted rates, load profiles, and actual market volumes.· Identify settlement variances, underbilling or overbilling risks, and revenue leakages; assist in root cause analysis and documentation.· Maintain revenue reconciliation schedules, settlement trackers, and variance analysis reports.· Assist in month-end revenue closing, including preparation of supporting schedules for Finance and Audit.· Coordinate with Billing, Trading, and Finance teams to resolve settlement and revenue discrepancies.· Ensure compliance with market rules, settlement timelines, and contractual provisions applicable to RES operations.· Support data validation for regulatory, management, and internal reporting.Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.· Basic knowledge of the Philippine electricity market structure, particularly Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA), is an advantage.· Familiarity or exposure to WESM settlements, energy billing, metering data, or load profiling is preferred.· Strong analytical skills with high attention to numerical accuracy and detail.· Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data reconciliation).· Ability to analyze large datasets and identify inconsistencies.· Good written and verbal communication skills.Other Technical & Preferred Skills· Understanding of energy settlement components such as energy charges, market fees, losses, and adjustments.· Basic knowledge of Retail Supply Contracts (RSCs), including fixed, indexed, and blended pricing structures.· Exposure to meter data management, consumption validation, and billing reconciliation.· Familiarity with revenue recognition and reconciliation processes.· Ability to work within settlement cut-offs and month-end deadlines.
