development position.𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞Palomba General Trading LLC is looking for a Rheology & High-Shear Mixing Engineer – Emulsions, Pastes & Viscous Products to support technically demanding industrial process-equipment projects across the UAE and GCC markets.We are specifically seeking candidates with practical knowledge of rheology, high-shear mixing, emulsification, dispersion, homogenisation and the processing of viscous or complex liquid systems.The successful candidate will work with industrial customers, application engineers and international equipment manufacturers to evaluate product behaviour, define process requirements and support the technical selection and qualification of suitable mixing and processing technologies.The role is particularly relevant to food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, flavour, ingredient and specialty-process applications.𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬• Analyse customer processes involving viscous liquids, pastes, suspensions, dispersions and emulsions.• Evaluate product rheology and its impact on equipment selection and process performance.• Review viscosity behaviour under different shear rates, temperatures and processing conditions.• Support the technical evaluation of high-shear mixers, rotor-stator systems, homogenisers and related process equipment.• Define critical processing requirements including batch size, throughput, viscosity, density, temperature and desired final product characteristics.• Evaluate dispersion and wetting requirements for powders incorporated into liquids.• Support emulsification projects involving oil and aqueous phases.• Analyse potential processing issues including agglomeration, incomplete wetting, air incorporation, phase separation and excessive heat generation.• Support selection of suitable mixing technologies, processing sequences and operating parameters.• Evaluate the effects of rotor speed, tip speed, shear intensity and mixing time on final product characteristics.• Support optimisation of powder induction and liquid-addition sequences.• Review heating and cooling requirements associated with high-shear processes.• Evaluate pumping, circulation and transfer requirements for high-viscosity products.• Support technical scale-up from laboratory and pilot equipment to industrial production systems.• Coordinate technical trials with customers, application laboratories and equipment manufacturers.• Review trial results relating to viscosity, dispersion, particle or droplet size, stability and product consistency.• Support integration of candidate should understand that successful mixing and homogenisation depend on the interaction between product rheology, equipment geometry, shear, temperature, processing sequence and scale.Candidates should be capable of discussing why a product behaves differently under industrial processing conditions and how equipment configuration and process parameters can be adjusted to achieve the required result.Practical experience with industrial process equipment, pilot trials, application engineering or manufacturing environments will be particularly valuable.Candidates whose professional background is predominantly general sales, administration or non-technical business development are unlikely to be suitable for this position.𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial, process-development or application-engineering experience preferred.Practical experience with mixing, homogenisation, emulsification, dispersion or viscous-product processing is strongly preferred.Understanding of fundamental rheological principles.Ability to interpret viscosity and process-performance data.Experience with industrial process equipment or manufacturing systems.Strong analytical and technical
