Employment Type: Full-timeCIB MARS is seeking an experienced Inspection Engineer specialising in Amusement Rides and Devices to perform independent third-party inspections of amusement equipment, associated structures and safety systems.The candidate must have direct experience in the inspection industry involving similar equipment, supported by practical knowledge of EIAC and ENAS guidelines, accreditation requirements and relevant international inspection standards.Equipment CoveredThe role involves inspecting equipment within the company’s accredited scope and the engineer’s demonstrated competence and authorisation, including:Fairground and amusement rides.Inflatable amusement equipment.Water slides and water play equipment.Go-karts and karting facilities.Zip lines and adventure courses.Soft play equipment.Trampolines and trampoline facilities.Artificial climbing walls.Associated structures, machinery and safety devices.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct inspections of new and in-service amusement rides and devices in accordance with approved inspection procedures, applicable standards and manufacturer requirements.Review equipment manuals, technical drawings, previous inspection reports, maintenance records and relevant testing documentation.Inspect structural components, connections, anchorage, mechanical assemblies and accessible electrical and control-system safety features.Examine passenger restraints, guarding, interlocks, emergency stops, access arrangements and other applicable protective measures.Perform or witness functional checks and specified tests within the authorised inspection scope.Identify defects, unsafe conditions and nonconformities, clearly documenting findings with technical evidence and photographs.Prepare accurate inspection reports and supporting certification documentation within assigned authority.Communicate findings to clients and promptly escalate safety-critical defects through the company’s reporting procedures.Conduct follow-up inspections and verify corrective actions where required.Maintain complete inspection records, checklists and equipment traceability, and verify the calibration status of instruments used.Support EIAC and ENAS assessments, witnessed inspections, internal audits and corrective-action activities.Maintain impartiality, confidentiality and professional judgement throughout inspection assignments.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline supported by suitable technical experience.Minimum 3 years of directly relevant third-party inspection experience involving amusement rides, amusement devices or comparable recreational equipment.Demonstrated experience working within an inspection body’s controlled procedures and reporting system.Ability to interpret technical drawings, manufacturer instructions, inspection criteria and test results.Strong technical report-writing skills and clear communication in English.Willingness to travel to inspection sites across the UAE.Mandatory Technical KnowledgeCandidates must demonstrate working knowledge of:EIAC — Emirates International Accreditation Centre: applicable inspection-body requirements, guidelines and amusement inspection criteria.ENAS — Emirates National Accreditation System: applicable accreditation requirements and inspection-body guidelines.ISO/IEC 17020: inspection-body competence, impartiality, inspection methods, records and reporting requirements.Relevant UAE authority requirements and manufacturer instructions applicable to assigned equipment.Applicable standards within the company’s accredited scope, including relevant parts of BS EN 13814, ISO 17842, ASTM F2974, ASTM F770, ASTM F1193, BS EN 1176, BS EN 1177, BS EN 14960, ASTM F2374, BS EN 1069, BS EN 15567, BS EN 12572, ASTM F2970 and ISO 23659.Candidates must be able to apply the appropriate standards and inspection criteria to specific equipment, rather than simply list standard numbers.Preferred CredentialsPrevious experience with an EIAC- or ENAS-accredited inspection body.Participation in accreditation assessments or witnessed inspections.Relevant amusement ride inspection training or professional certifications.Valid UAE driving licence.How to ApplySend your CV and relevant qualification/training certificates to careers@cibmars.com+923354432888.Email subject: Inspection Engineer – Amusement Rides & DevicesPlease include your current location, notice period, expected salary and a brief list of the amusement equipment categories you have personally inspected.Direct amusement inspection experience is essential.
