Risk & Compliance Lead - APACNorth Sydney | Hybrid | $140,000–$150,000 + SuperAn exciting opportunity has become available for a Risk & Compliance Lead to join a growing global business in a newly created position based in North Sydney.This is a genuine opportunity to make your mark and influence the direction of risk and compliance across APAC. As a newly created role, you’ll have the freedom to shape and improve processes, build strong relationships across the business and implement practical solutions.You’ll join a business with an excellent, collaborative culture, approachable leadership and genuine autonomy, where you’ll be trusted to take ownership and have a real voice in how things are done.About the roleLeading and continuously improving the APAC risk and compliance frameworkMaintaining regional policies, standards and regulatory obligationsMonitoring regulatory developments across multiple APAC jurisdictions and translating these into practical business requirementsProviding commercially focused risk and compliance advice to senior stakeholders across Sales, Client Services, Operations and other functionsAssessing the effectiveness of business processes and controls and identifying areas for improvementLeading assurance reviews, remediation activities and root-cause investigationsManaging risk and compliance incidents, including escalation and reporting where requiredOverseeing regulatory reporting, compliance calendars, licence renewals and scheduled reviewsSupporting new services, clients and business initiatives from a risk and compliance perspectivePreparing clear and insightful reporting for regional and Group stakeholdersWorking closely with and providing guidance to an established offshore Risk & Compliance teamSupporting the development of a strong risk-aware and accountable culture across APACAbout youExperience across Risk & Compliance, Operational Risk, GRC, Regulatory Compliance or a related disciplineExperience interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into practical business controlsStrong stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence engaging senior leadersA commercial and solutions-focused approach to risk and complianceExperience working across complex or multi-jurisdictional environmentsThe ability to adapt to change and operate effectively in a fast-paced environmentExperience with risk frameworks, assurance, controls, incidents and remediationExperience within HR, recruitment, workforce solutions or professional services highly regardedWhat's on OfferNewly created position with genuine ownership and autonomyAPAC-wide exposure & senior stakeholder exposureEstablished offshore team to support and developHybrid working - minimum of 2 days in the officeBirthday leaveSupportive and approachable leadership teamStrong, collaborative cultureIf you're looking for a role where you can combine risk expertise, commercial thinking and genuine business partnering while having the opportunity to shape a growing APAC function, we'd love to hear from you.Click APPLY or contact Megan Kincaid on megank@charterhouse.com.au for a confidential discussion.www.charterhouse.com.au
