("MIM") is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Risk Analyst to join its Luxembourg office.Reporting directly to the Conducting Officer responsible for Risk Management, the successful candidate will play a key role in the oversight and development of the Risk Management Function across the funds managed by MIM and the AIFM itself.This role provides a distinctive opportunity to engage with infrastructure investments, alternative fund management, regulatory oversight and a wide range of risk matters.Your ResponsibilitiesRisk Oversight and MonitoringContribute to the identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of risks affecting the funds managed by MIM and the management company itself.Perform risk assessments covering market, liquidity, operational, valuation, counterparty, sustainability and ICT-related risks.Monitor risk indicators, risk limits and escalation procedures.Participate in the ongoing assessment of portfolio risk exposures and emerging risks.Support liquidity management processes and associated stress testing exercises.Review investment proposals and transaction documentation from a risk management perspective.Risk Reporting and GovernancePrepare periodic risk reports for senior management, the Board of Directors and fund governing bodies.Contribute to regulatory reporting and risk disclosures.Assist with the maintenance and enhancement of risk policies, procedures and methodologies.Support the continuous development of MIM's Risk Management Framework.Data Analysis and Risk AssessmentCollect, analyse and challenge financial, operational and investment data received from internal teams and external service providers.Ensure risk monitoring tools and underlying datasets remain accurate and reliable.Participate in quantitative and qualitative risk analyses at both investment and fund level.Contribute to the development and automation of risk monitoring processes and reporting capabilities.Collaboration and ProjectsWork closely with Investment, Portfolio Management, Finance, Valuation, Legal, Compliance and Operations teams.Support internal and external audits, regulatory reviews and due diligence processes.Participate in strategic projects relating to regulatory developments, risk governance and operational resilience.Key RequirementsEducationMaster's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Engineering or a related discipline.Professional ExperienceMinimum 2 years of relevant professional experience within: an AIF risk management function;a Big Four audit or advisory practice;a fund administration business; ora consulting environment serving the asset management industry.Technical SkillsStrong understanding of Alternative Investment Funds and alternative asset management.Good knowledge of risk management principles and methodologies.Solid understanding of financial statements and corporate finance concepts.Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.Ability to analyse complex information and formulate clear conclusions.Experience with Power BI, Power Query, VBA, SQL or Python would be considered a real asset.Regulatory KnowledgeThe following would be considered advantageous:AIFMD and Luxembourg AIFM regulatory framework.CSSF Circular 18/698 and related risk management requirements.DORA, SFDR and broader regulatory developments impacting fund managers.Experience with liquidity monitoring and stress testing frameworks.LanguagesFull professional proficiency in English.Any other European language would be considered an advantage.Who We Are Looking ForWe are looking for a professional who combines strong analytical capabilities with sound judgement and a pragmatic approach to risk management.You are naturally curious, detail-oriented and comfortable questioning assumptions while maintaining constructive working relationships.
