Team members join a globally connected organization with local roots, dedicated to service excellence and responsible risk management.Role Description The Risk and Compliance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Auckland. This role is responsible for overseeing the organization’s risk management and compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and assessing risks, developing and updating risk registers, monitoring compliance controls, and preparing reports for senior leadership and regulatory bodies. The Risk and Compliance Manager will design and implement compliance programs, conduct internal reviews, support audits, and drive continuous improvement in risk and compliance processes. This role also involves partnering with business units to provide guidance, delivering training on risk and regulatory obligations, and promoting a strong, ethical compliance culture across the organization.Qualifications Strong background in risk management, compliance, and governance, preferably within financial services or insurance.Experience with regulatory frameworks and standards relevant to the New Zealand insurance sector and broader financial services environment.Proficiency in developing and maintaining risk registers, compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.Ability to analyze complex information, prepare clear reports, and present findings to senior stakeholders.Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills across diverse teams.Demonstrated capability in project management, process improvement, and implementing compliance initiatives.Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a practical, solutions-focused approach.Bachelor’s degree in law, business, finance, risk management, or a related discipline; professional certifications in risk or compliance are an advantage.High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to ethical conduct and confidentiality.
