Risk Compliance Officer

Key Responsibilities

Technical/Operations DutiesDevelop and implement the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate strategic, operational, financial, compliance, and emerging risks.Conduct periodic enterprise-wide risk assessments and maintain the corporate risk register.Establish Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and monitor risk appetite across business functions.Prepare risk reports and dashboards for executive management and the Board.Support business continuity planning and crisis management initiatives.Compliance ManagementEnsure compliance with insurance regulations, local laws, and regulatory guidelines.Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations.Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.Conduct compliance reviews and internal assessments.Coordinate regulatory inspections and respond to regulatory inquiries.Maintain compliance documentation and reporting requirements.GovernanceSupport the implementation of governance policies and corporate ethics standards.Ensure business policies align with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.Coordinate governance committee meetings and prepare reports for senior management.Monitor policy adherence across all departments.Internal Controls & AuditDesign and strengthen internal control frameworks.Work closely with Internal Audit to address audit observations.Monitor corrective action plans and ensure timely closure.Evaluate process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.Key RelationshipsInternal StakeholdersClientsRegulatory bodiesResponsibilities for AssetsComputer/laptopPhoneOther working tools as requiredLevel of AuthorityAttend stakeholder meetingsApprove leave / Plan & allocate workDiscipline employeesConduct performance appraisalsAny other responsibilitiesEducational QualificationMBA-Finance, Masters in Risk Management, BSC AdministrationMust have at least 6-8 years experience as a Risk or Compliance Manager
