Job SummaryThe Risk Manager is responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating project risks throughout the construction lifecycle. The role ensures proactive risk management practices are implemented to minimize threats to project cost, schedule, quality, safety, and overall project objectives while maximizing opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the Project Risk Management Plan in accordance with company standards.Identify, assess, and prioritize project risks using qualitative and quantitative risk assessment techniques.Maintain and regularly update the project Risk Register.Facilitate risk workshops with project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.Monitor risk mitigation actions and ensure timely implementation by responsible parties.Analyze the impact of risks on project cost, schedule, quality, safety, and operations.Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for project management and executive leadership.Coordinate with Planning, Commercial, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, HSE, and Quality teams to ensure integrated risk management.Conduct Monte Carlo simulations and quantitative risk analysis where applicable.Support claims avoidance through proactive identification and mitigation of contractual and commercial risks.Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and international risk management standards (ISO 31000).Monitor emerging risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.Participate in project reviews, audits, and lessons learned sessions.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.Master's degree is an advantage.Professional certifications such as PMI-RMP, PMP, IRM, or equivalent are preferred.ExperienceMinimum 12–15 years of experience in mega construction projects.At least 5 years in a dedicated Risk Management role.Experience with EPC, design-build, or large-scale construction projects is highly preferred.Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of project risk management methodologies and ISO 31000.Proficiency in Primavera Risk Analysis, Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.Experience with quantitative risk analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, and risk reporting tools.Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.Key CompetenciesStrategic Risk ManagementRisk Assessment & MitigationQuantitative & Qualitative Risk AnalysisProject ControlsProblem Solving & Decision MakingStakeholder ManagementLeadership & Team CollaborationReport Writing & PresentationCommercial & Contractual Awareness
