RISK OFFICER Location: Dubai / Abu Dhabi, UAERegulatory Environment: ADGM/FSRA and DIFC/DFSAROLE PURPOSEThe Risk Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the risk management framework for regulated financial services businesses, with a particular focus on alternative asset managers and Category 3C entities.Acting as a key second line of defence, the Risk Officer will identify, assess, monitor and report on key risks across the business, including investment, market, liquidity, operational, regulatory, conduct, technology/cyber and third-party risk, as applicable.The role will work closely with senior management, Compliance and investment teams and provide independent risk oversight and reporting to senior management and Boards.REQUIREMENTS 5–10 years' risk management experience within financial services.Strong experience within alternative asset management / investment management.Previous experience within Category 3C regulated entities is essential.Strong knowledge of the ADGM/FSRA regulatory environment, with experience engaging with the regulator.DIFC/DFSA experience highly desirable.Strong understanding of risk frameworks, governance, controls, operational risk and investment-related risk.Experience preparing risk reporting for Boards and senior management.Degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management or a related discipline.FRM, PRM, CFA or similar professional qualification preferred.Key CompetenciesIndependent and commercially aware risk professional with the confidence to challenge constructively, strong integrity and judgement, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of regulatory expectations and risk governance within investment management.
