RM Purchase Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager

We are looking for an experienced RM Purchase professional to manage the procurement of raw materials and support efficient supply-chain operations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end procurement of pharmaceutical raw materials (RM) as per production and business requirements.Coordinate with Production, Planning, QA, QC, R&D, Stores and Finance teams for timely material availability.Identify, evaluate and coordinate with approved vendors for raw material procurement.Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and other commercial terms.Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) while ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials as per production schedules.Monitor raw material stock levels, consumption and procurement requirements.Coordinate with vendors regarding delivery delays, quality issues, shortages and discrepancies.Maintain proper procurement records, vendor documentation and MIS reports.Support vendor development, evaluation and performance monitoring.Ensure procurement activities comply with company SOPs, quality requirements and applicable pharmaceutical standards.Coordinate with QA/QC for vendor qualification and approval of raw materials, wherever required.Follow up for COA, MSDS and other required documentation from suppliers.Handle commercial negotiations and work towards cost optimization and timely procurement.Monitor market trends, price fluctuations and availability of key pharmaceutical raw materials.Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure uninterrupted supply of materials.Required Qualifications & ExperienceGraduate/Postgraduate in Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commerce, Management or a related field.8-10 years of relevant experience in RM Purchase/Procurement, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing / contract manufacturing / CDMO will be preferred.Good knowledge of pharmaceutical raw materials, vendor management and procurement processes.Strong negotiation, communication and coordination skills.Good command of MS Excel and MS Office.Experience with ERP/procurement software will be an added advantage.Key SkillsRM Procurement | Vendor Management | Purchase Order Management | Negotiation | Cost Optimization | Pharmaceutical Raw Materials | Vendor Development | Inventory Coordination | ERP | MS Excel | Supply Chain | Contract Manufacturing
