Road Safety, Research and Implementation Specialist

We are seeking an independent consultant to lead the research, road safety, and implementation components of the National Traffic Calming Guideline.The successful consultant will develop the evidence base supporting the guideline through literature reviews, benchmarking, policy analysis, implementation frameworks, and stakeholder engagement for 36 months.

Key Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for:Reviewing national and international traffic calming guidelines and best practice.Conducting literature reviews, benchmarking and policy analysis.Developing the road safety and Safe System components of the guideline.Preparing implementation frameworks, monitoring and evaluation approaches.Supporting stakeholder consultations and validation workshops.Developing implementation tools, templates, checklists and training material.Contributing to the preparation of the final guideline and supporting documentation.Minimum Requirements: Applicants must demonstrate:Minimum 8 years' experience in road safety, transport research, transport policy or guideline development.Proven experience developing technical guidelines, policies, frameworks, standards or implementation manuals, preferably within the transport or road safety sector.Demonstrated experience delivering assignments for government departments, municipalities, public entities or state-owned enterprises.Strong research, stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and technical writing skills.Relevant Experience:Traffic Calming Guidelines | Road Safety | Safe System | Guideline Development | Technical Standards | Policy Development | Transport Research | Benchmarking | Implementation Frameworks | Training and Knowledge Transfer

Qualifications
