The company offers opportunities for technical growth and hands-on experience in the field.Role Description The Road Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Columbus, GA, responsible for traveling to customer locations to install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair Dyna-Lift machinery and related equipment. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic issues, performing preventative maintenance, replacing parts, and conducting safety checks to ensure equipment operates within specifications. The role involves documenting work performed, communicating clearly with customers about findings and recommended actions, and coordinating with the office and parts departments for scheduling and materials. The Road Technician is expected to maintain service vehicles and tools in good working order, follow all safety procedures and company policies, and provide courteous, professional service at every job site.Qualifications Mechanical aptitude with experience working on industrial, lifting, or material-handling equipment; ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems in field environments.Solid communication and customer service skills to explain work performed and build professional relationships with clients.Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing schedules and site conditions.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel locally and regionally as required.Comfort with using basic digital tools (e.g., mobile apps, email, service software) to complete reports and coordinate service calls.High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics, hydraulics, or industrial maintenance is preferred.Capacity to lift and handle heavy components, work at heights or in confined spaces when needed, and follow strict safety practices.Previous field service or road technician experience in a machinery or industrial setting is an advantage.
