Position: Road Test Tech LeadLocation: Abu Dhabi, UAEEmployment Type: Contract HireJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Road Test Tech Lead to lead the planning, execution, and management of real-world road testing activities for advanced L4 Autonomous Driving and Robotaxi systems. The role will be responsible for validating autonomous driving functions, managing test operations, developing test methodologies, and driving continuous improvements in testing efficiency, safety, and quality. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the deployment and release of autonomous mobility solutions in Abu Dhabi and other operational regions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead real-vehicle road testing activities for L4 Autonomous Driving (Robotaxi) systems and closed-course validation testing.Conduct testing and validation of autonomous driving functions including L4, L2++, PIPO, MRM, and other ADAS features.Validate Robotaxi operational and business functions, including order dispatching, route planning, terminal operations, passenger interaction systems, and onboard monitoring systems.Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive test plans, schedules, routes, and validation procedures.Perform functional testing, system verification, and performance evaluation of ADAS and autonomous driving features.Establish and maintain a comprehensive Robotaxi test scenario library, continuously updating scenarios based on real-world data, user requirements, and product development needs.Define and implement testing standards, procedures, release criteria, and quality assurance processes for autonomous vehicle deployments.Support ODD (Operational Design Domain) release management through route-based, point-based, and road-segment-based validation processes.Manage ADAS testing projects, including test coordination, resource planning, data collection, analysis, reporting, and evaluation activities.Develop and enhance testing toolchains and automation systems to improve testing efficiency and reduce operational costs.Utilize data acquisition tools to capture and analyze vehicle communication signals, including CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and other vehicle network data.Generate test reports, KPI dashboards, performance metrics, and subjective evaluation assessments.Collaborate closely with software, systems, operations, and product teams to support feature validation and product releases.Ensure all testing activities comply with applicable autonomous driving regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Vehicle Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Communication Engineering, Automotive Electronics, or a related discipline.Minimum 6 years of experience in ADAS and Autonomous Driving road testing.At least 3 years of experience with Autonomous Driving OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, or Robotaxi operators.Strong understanding of autonomous driving architecture, vehicle systems, chassis dynamics, and sensor technologies.Extensive knowledge of ADAS testing methodologies, validation frameworks, and performance evaluation systems.Familiarity with autonomous driving regulations, safety standards, and testing requirements.Hands-on experience with vehicle data acquisition and analysis tools, including CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and related communication protocols.Strong project management, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.Valid driving license (Category C1 or equivalent) with excellent driving skills and strong safety awareness.Willingness to travel within the UAE and neighboring countries as required.Preferred SkillsExperience in Robotaxi operations and autonomous mobility services.Knowledge of autonomous vehicle release management and ODD deployment processes.Experience developing automated testing dashboards, data pipelines, and validation frameworks.Strong understanding of user-centric testing methodologies and real-world scenario validation.
