TranTek offers opportunities to work on complex, innovative projects in a stable and growing business environment.Role Description The Robotics Engineer will work on-site in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design, integration, and optimization of robotic systems for industrial automation projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and programming robotic work cells, configuring controllers, and integrating robots with manufacturing systems. The role involves troubleshooting robotic systems, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing improvements to enhance safety, throughput, and reliability. The Robotics Engineer will collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams, prepare technical documentation, and support installation and commissioning at customer facilities. This position also requires regular communication with project managers and customers to align system performance with project requirements and timelines.QualificationsPossess strong robotics skills, including robot programming, integration, and commissioning for industrial automation applications.Demonstrate analytical skills for diagnosing issues, optimizing processes, and interpreting system performance data.Bring experience in process automation, including designing and implementing automated workflows and control strategies.Exhibit effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration, technical documentation, and customer interaction.Have software development capabilities relevant to robotics (e.g., PLC programming, scripting, or higher-level languages used in automation).Familiarity with industrial safety standards and best practices for automated systems.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and system layouts.Experience with industrial robots and controllers from major manufacturers (FANUC, YASKAWA, KAWASAKI) is highly beneficial.Ability to work on-site, manage multiple projects, and occasionally support travel to customer locations for installation and service.Bachelors Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
