As the business continues to scale, they are looking to appoint a Senior Robotics Engineer to help build and deploy the next generation of robotic capabilities.This is a hands-on role focused on real robots operating in real environments. You'll work alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, helping develop robust, production-ready systems that combine perception, planning, control, manipulation and autonomous behaviours.The RoleAs a Senior Robotics Engineer, you'll take ownership of challenging robotics problems and help transform prototypes into reliable capabilities deployed on physical robotic platforms.You'll contribute across a sophisticated robotics stack and collaborate closely with AI, software, hardware and systems engineering teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and deploy robotics software for advanced robotic systemsIntegrate software across perception, planning, control and behaviour layersDebug complex issues spanning hardware, software and networkingImprove system reliability, maintainability and observabilityDevelop new robotic capabilities and autonomous behavioursSupport deployment and testing on physical robotic platformsContribute to architecture decisions and technical leadershipMentor engineers and uphold high software engineering standardsRequirementsStrong C++ and Python development experienceExtensive ROS 2 experienceExperience developing and debugging real-world robotic systemsStrong Linux development and troubleshooting skillsExcellent systems integration and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to take ownership of projects from concept through to deploymentDesirable ExperienceExperience in one or more of the following areas would be highly beneficial:ros2_controlEtherCAT and hardware integrationManipulation and motion planningWhole-body controlCalibration and robot bring-upState estimation and sensor fusionBehaviour trees and task executionRobotics networking and distributed systemsReliability engineering and diagnosticsSafety systems and fault recoveryWhat's on OfferSalary dependent on experienceEquity opportunitiesPrivate healthcareConference and training budgetOpportunity to work with cutting-edge robotics technologyHighly collaborative engineering cultureDirect impact on products deployed in real-world environments
