Apply today to be part of our innovative research and contribute to shaping the future of autonomous technologies.Responsibilities: Review and develop advanced and robust GNC algorithms for UAVs, including:Path and trajectory planningControl and navigation design and implementation for UAVsSystem Integration and Software DevelopmentPrototyping of various algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink.Implement algorithms using industry-grade languages (C++, Python) following software engineering best practices (version control, unit testing, continuous integration).Integrate GNC algorithms into the overall GNC framework and UAV software stack.Transition prototype models (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) into production-ready code suitable for embedded deployment.ROS/ROS2 C++ development and integrationWrite efficient and easy to read code and be ready to review the code from othersCollaboration and DocumentationDocument GNC designs, test plans, and performance evaluations.Present findings and recommendations to both technical and program stakeholders.Required qualifications and skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control or related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.Strong knowledge of path planning, navigation, and control principles for autonomous robotic systems.Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or MATLAB for algorithm development and implementation.Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink and automatic code generation tools is a plus.Familiarity with ROS2, Gazebo, and PX4.Plus, if having experience withAutonomous systems, especially with UAVsSW development (Git, CI, docker)Agile methodologies and task management tools (Jira or similar)At TII, we help society to overcome its biggest hurdles through a rigorous approach to scientific discovery and inquiry, using state-of-the-art facilities and collaboration with leading international institutions.
