Apply & track with Apply EdgeRobotics Engineering InternWe're looking for a robotics engineering intern to work alongside our founding team as we build the operating layer for physical AI - one unified platform to manage and operate robots & physical AI at scale. You'll get hands-on exposure to distributed systems, robots (both sim and real hardware), and AI (computer vision, autonomy, AI agents, data collection, model training, swarm coordination, and more). We're a small team, so you'll be working directly with the founders and have real ownership over core features that you develop for CTRL+R. We have deep technical and business expertise, so expect to significantly grow your engineering skills and business acumen in this position.Note: This position is unpaid, but offers the opportunity to get in early, take meaningful ownership, and earn a paid position as the company scales.About CTRL+RCTRL+R is a real-time operations and data collection platform for robots and physical AI systems. Our platform allows you to remotely operate any robot, drone, camera, sensor, or AI system and manage your entire fleet through one user-friendly interface. What You'll Work OnAnyone with a robot can download the CTRL+R agent today and teleoperate it from anywhere in the world. However, streamlining this process via AI, developing autonomous workflows, implementing computer vision, and collecting & structuring this data is still on the to-do list. That's where you come in. Depending on your skills and interests, you could work on:• Testing and maintaining robots in simulation (Isaac Sim)• Testing and building new integrations with real robots, cameras, sensors, IoT devices, and other physical AI hardware• Helping expand our fleet management and teleoperation tools to support new device types• Implementing AI agents that run on robots and physical AI systems• Collecting and structuring new data points from connected robots and devices• Developing and integrating computer vision algorithms• Contributing to early autonomy work for customer robots• Learning how a small team takes a product from MVP to scaleWhat You'll Be Exposed ToWe're not expecting you to walk in with these skills mastered. This internship is a chance to build them:• ROS2 fundamentals, including how distributed robot systems are built, networked, and debugged in the field• Creating and working with 3D assets using Blender or related 3D tools for simulation (currently using Isaac Sim)• Python, C++ and Rust in a production setting• The basics of how AI systems get built: data collection, labeling, training, and iteration• Computer vision, perception, and decision systems• How distributed systems and system architecture come together to coordinate multiple devices and services• Working with new hardware integrations as we bring physical robots and devices onlineTL;DRIf you're curious, move fast, passionate about what we do, and want real hands-on experience with robots and AI—not just a resume line—then reach out.
