This role will lead automation projects from concept through production deployment, improving manufacturing efficiency, safety, and product quality.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify manufacturing processes suitable for automation.Design, program, integrate, and commission collaborative robots for assembly, material handling, inspection, and testing.Deploy and optimize AMRs for material transportation and workflow automation.Lead end-to-end project execution including design, simulation, testing, validation, and production rollout.Integrate robots, sensors, machine vision systems, and end-effectors with existing production equipment.Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers and technicians.Evaluate robotics vendors and automation technologies.Conduct safety assessments and ensure compliance with robotic safety standards.Develop documentation, SOPs, training materials, and operational runbooks.Required QualificationsBachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.3+ years of industrial robotics or automation experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong software and mechanical engineering background.Hands-on experience with Universal Robots (UR) or similar collaborative robot platforms.Experience integrating robotic systems with vision systems, grippers, and sensors.Experience with AMRs and material-handling automation solutions.Knowledge of robot simulation and offline programming tools.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with ROS / ROS2.Knowledge of RobotStudio, RoboDK, or similar simulation tools.Experience with 2D/3D machine vision and force/torque control.AMR fleet management and MES/WMS integration experience.CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD).Robotics platform certifications.Knowledge of robotic safety standards including ISO 10218, ISO/TS 15066, ISO 12100, and ISO 13849.
