Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Description:We are seeking an experienced AV Technician II to support the operational readiness of an Autonomous Vehicle (AV) fleet. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, validating, maintaining, and preparing autonomous vehicles for daily testing and data collection. You will work closely with remote Software and Hardware Engineering teams, performing diagnostics, sensor calibration, firmware updates, and hardware validation while ensuring vehicle systems remain reliable and deployment-ready.This is a hands-on position requiring strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, and electromechanical systems.Pay Range: $43/hr. to $46/hr.; The pay may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.Responsibilities:Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of autonomous vehicle hardware and sensor systems.Support remote engineering teams by serving as the onsite technical resource for vehicle issues.Execute hardware validation, system testing, and firmware/software updates.Perform calibration and alignment of LiDAR, Radar, Cameras, GPS, IMU, and other vehicle sensors.Flash firmware, install software packages, and execute validation scripts using Linux command line.Monitor Slack, Jira, and internal dashboards for hardware alerts and support requests.Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, networking, and sensor integration issues.Document calibration results, validation activities, inventory updates, and vehicle status.Support deployment readiness and maintain fleet uptime.Follow technical SOPs while working independently with minimal supervision.Required Qualifications:3+ years of experience in hardware validation, electronics troubleshooting, robotics, autonomous vehicles, or related technical environments.Experience working with LiDAR, Radar, Cameras, GPS, IMU, CAN Bus, or similar sensor technologies.Strong Linux CLI experience for system diagnostics and software validation.Experience performing firmware flashing, software installation, and hardware testing.Ability to diagnose hardware, electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues.Experience using Jira, Slack, or similar ticketing and collaboration tools.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.Ability to work onsite in Sunnyvale, CA, with flexibility to work from the San Francisco office if required.Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting autonomous vehicle or robotics platforms.Basic scripting knowledge in Bash or Python.Experience with hardware integration and validation testing.Familiarity with enterprise hardware maintenance and field support.If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
