Robotics Technician

I'm working with a manufacturing business that is growing its production operation and adding more industrial robotics.They need someone who is strong at fault finding on robotic systems. This isn't just planned maintenance. When equipment goes down, you'll be expected to work across the mechanical, electrical and controls side, find the problem and get it running again.The robots are an important part of production, so they need someone who can diagnose faults properly, deal with repeat issues and understand why something has failed rather than just swapping parts.As the business adds more equipment and increases production, the technical team will grow with it. For someone who wants to progress, there is a great opportunity to take on more responsibility and help support or guide other technicians as the team develops across multiple sites.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and controls faults on industrial robotic systemsCarry out breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance and planned servicingTroubleshoot PLC, HMI, I/O, sensor, motor and drive issuesSupport robot recovery, calibration, homing and system adjustmentsMaintain robotic cells and associated automated production equipmentInvestigate recurring faults and help improve machine reliabilityDocument faults, repairs and maintenance workWork with engineering and production teams when equipment issues affect uptimeExperience RequiredHands-on maintenance experience with industrial robots or robotic production equipmentExperience with 6-axis robots, robotic cells or automated machineryStrong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skillsExperience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipmentFamiliarity with HMIs, sensors, motors, drives, actuators and industrial controlsPrevious breakdown maintenance, field service or equipment repair experienceAble to diagnose and repair faults independentlyBackground in robotics, automation, mechatronics or advanced manufacturing
