The Business Automation Engineer on the Echo Global Logistics Automation Team is responsible for creating and maintaining a digital workforce using a Robotic Process Automation tool. In this role, you will build and maintain software robots that will assist in the automation of key business processes. In addition to the technical aspect of this role, you will also work closely with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements.Job Duties And Responsibilities Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Sponsors, Engineers, QA and Architecture Develop deep expertise of Echo’s internal and client-facing technology product lines Document complex software functionality Identify and Optimize current business practices, workflows, and systems Utilize internal systems to automate redundant processes through development Leverage SQL to extract and query data Analyze data and provide reports for various internal departments and management to increase efficiency and effectiveness of data providedProvide mentorship to teammates Work to continuously advance your skill set Ability to prioritize projects from competing stakeholders and manage client expectations Required Skills4+ years UI Path1-3 years Systems Analysis, Automation or Logistics experienceProficient in SQLExcellent oral and written communication skillsVery organized and detailed orientedProven record of accomplishment in working in a fast paced environmentPreferred SkillsProficiency in Python scripting for automation and data processingExperience with popular Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Requests, etc.)Ability to build and maintain reusable, modular Python codeKnowledge of API integration and RESTful services in PythonAbility to use AI coding assistants and productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT)Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)Undergraduate degree in: Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics/Mathematics, Analytics, Logistics/Supply Chain, or BusinessEcho Global Logistics is a leading provider of technology-enabled transportation management services.
