Team members join a multidisciplinary environment that values collaboration, professional development, and adherence to international healthcare standards.Role Description The Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Medina, responsible for overseeing and maintaining the radiation safety program in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. The RSO monitors radiation use, conducts regular safety audits, and ensures compliance with applicable regulations, licenses, and policies. Daily tasks include training staff on radiation safety procedures, maintaining accurate records and documentation, and coordinating dosimetry monitoring and equipment calibration. The role involves investigating incidents or exposures, implementing corrective actions, and collaborating with clinical and technical teams to promote a culture of safety. The RSO also prepares reports for management and regulatory authorities and supports continuous improvement of radiation safety practices.Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in radiation safety management, including knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.Experience with radiation monitoring equipment, dosimetry programs, and documentation of compliance activities.Strong skills in staff training, coaching, and developing safety awareness among multidisciplinary teams.Ability to conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations with clear, actionable recommendations.Excellent organization, analytical, and reporting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Medical Physics, Radiologic Technology, Health Physics, or related discipline; advanced certification in radiation safety is preferred.Previous experience as an RSO or in a similar radiation safety role within healthcare or diagnostics is highly beneficial.Commitment to patient and staff safety, ethical practice, and continuous professional development.
