Russian speaker dean of academic affairs

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Dean of Academic Affairs at Plekhanov University, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Dean of Academic Affairs oversees academic programs, ensures adherence to institutional policies, and supports high-quality teaching and learning across departments. Daily responsibilities include coordinating curriculum planning, monitoring academic performance indicators, and leading initiatives to enhance program quality and student success. The role involves managing faculty workload and development, supporting student affairs activities, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on accreditation and compliance matters. The Dean also represents the academic unit in strategic planning, participates in budget discussions, and maintains effective communication in Russian and English with faculty, staff, and students.Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Accreditation processes and quality assurance, including compliance with relevant higher education standards.Strong experience in Curriculum Development, program design, and ongoing review of academic offerings.Proficiency in Academic Administration, including policy implementation, academic scheduling, and oversight of faculty and academic staff.Knowledge of Enrollment Management, with the ability to collaborate on recruitment, admissions, and retention strategies.Background in Student Affairs, supporting student engagement, advising structures, and academic support services.Fluency in Russian and professional proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven leadership and team management abilities, with a collaborative and inclusive approach to decision-making.Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field, preferably in education, management, economics, or a related discipline.Experience in an international or cross-cultural academic environment, ideally within the Middle East or CIS region.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
