Russian speaker head of academic affairs

Role Description The Head of Academic Affairs (Russian speaker) at Plekhanov University’s Dubai campus is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This position oversees academic programs, curricula, and quality assurance processes, ensuring alignment with university standards and local regulations. The role involves supervising teaching staff, coordinating course scheduling, managing assessment procedures, and supporting accreditation activities. The Head of Academic Affairs also leads academic policy development, monitors student performance and progression, and implements initiatives to improve teaching and learning outcomes. Daily responsibilities include regular communication with faculty and administration, preparing academic reports, chairing academic committees, supporting student advising structures, and fostering collaboration between the Dubai campus and other Plekhanov University units, with frequent use of Russian and English in all academic and administrative communication.Qualifications Strong academic leadership and management skills, including experience overseeing curricula, quality assurance, and faculty coordination.Proficiency in Russian and English, with the ability to conduct meetings, prepare documentation, and communicate effectively in both languages.Demonstrated expertise in higher education administration, including academic policy development, accreditation support, and student success initiatives.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple academic projects and deadlines.Advanced interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with faculty, staff, and external partners in a multicultural environment.Master’s degree or higher in Education, Management, or a related field; doctoral degree in a relevant discipline is an advantage.Previous experience in a leadership role within a university or similar academic institution, ideally with international or branch-campus exposure.Knowledge of regional higher education regulations and standards in the United Arab Emirates is highly desirable.Commitment to inclusive, student-centered academic practices and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
