Location: Remote – GlobalAbout the OpportunityWe are seeking experienced Backend Software Engineers to support an AI training project by creating challenging coding tasks and evaluating AI-generated solutions.

You’ll use your software engineering expertise to develop realistic problems involving feature implementation, bug fixing, and code quality.No prior AI experience is required — your backend engineering expertise is what matters.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate realistic, challenging coding tasks involving feature implementation and bug fixes.Develop deterministic testers and verifiers that accept valid solutions and reject incorrect ones.Build and evaluate tasks based on real-world backend engineering workflows.Debug software issues and optimize performance, scalability, and reliability.Review code for correctness, maintainability, and quality.Assess solutions using automated tests and objective evaluation criteria.Required QualificationsStrong backend development experience in Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python, C++, or similar languages.Experience building scalable services and APIs.Proficiency in debugging, performance optimization, and automated testing.Strong code review and software quality assessment skills.Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and computer science fundamentals.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.Preferred QualificationsProven experience delivering high-quality, performant backend applications.Experience identifying and resolving software bugs and system bottlenecks.Experience refactoring codebases and implementing complex features in large-scale applications.Ability to create reliable, objective tests for evaluating software solutions.Compensation$30–$100/hour, with output-based payment for tasks that meet project specifications.Independent contractor engagement.Approximately 15 hours per week.Flexible schedule, including weekends if desired.Minimum submission requirements apply, including a minimum number of tasks per week.Approximately 100 openings available.Application ProcessSubmit your application and complete the screening questions.Complete a 15–20-minute AI interview.Complete a technical assessment, if required.Undergo hiring manager review.Begin your first tasks within 24–48 hours of onboarding if selected.
