Leadership to maintain a safe, secure, resilient, and well-controlled operating environment.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Safety & Security Manager to lead the organization's integrated safety and security program across people, facilities, operations, projects, assets, and business activities.The ideal candidate will establish and maintain safety and security standards, assess risks and vulnerabilities, develop prevention and response strategies, oversee emergency preparedness, manage incidents and investigations, coordinate security and safety service providers, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen a proactive safety and security culture across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the organization's integrated safety and security strategy, framework, policies, standards, procedures, and governance model.Establish enterprise-wide safety and security management programs covering people, facilities, operations, projects, assets, contractors, visitors, and critical activities.Develop annual safety and security plans, priorities, initiatives, budgets, performance objectives, and improvement roadmaps.Establish clear safety and security governance structures, roles, responsibilities, accountability, escalation procedures, and reporting requirements.Develop and maintain safety policies, security policies, operating procedures, emergency procedures, standards, guidelines, manuals, and response protocols.Conduct enterprise and site-level safety and security risk assessments.Identify hazards, threats, vulnerabilities, exposure points, critical assets, security gaps, and potential consequences.Develop and maintain integrated safety and security risk registers, vulnerability assessments, mitigation plans, action trackers, and escalation mechanisms.Assess risks associated with personnel, facilities, operations, projects, travel, contractors, suppliers, visitors, events, infrastructure, equipment, and business activities.Develop risk-based safety and security controls and mitigation strategies.Establish appropriate preventive, detective, protective, and response controls based on identified risks.Conduct security vulnerability assessments covering physical security, access control, perimeter protection, surveillance, visitor management, critical facilities, and operational environments.Conduct safety assessments covering workplace hazards, emergency preparedness, fire safety, occupational risks, operational activities, equipment, facilities, and environmental conditions.Establish minimum safety and security requirements for offices, warehouses, facilities, project sites, operational locations, and other critical environments.Coordinate with Facilities, Operations, HSE, Security, and Project teams to implement appropriate safety and security controls.Develop security requirements for new facilities, projects, offices, warehouses, construction activities, renovations, relocations, and major operational changes.Review facility layouts, access arrangements, security zones, emergency exits, evacuation routes, lighting, surveillance, alarms, and other protective measures where applicable.Establish access-control policies covering employees, contractors, visitors, vendors, temporary personnel, and other third parties.Develop visitor management, identification, badge management, access authorization, escort, and restricted-area procedures.Establish processes for managing keys, access cards, credentials, security codes, and other physical access mechanisms.Coordinate with IT and Cybersecurity teams where physical security intersects with information systems, technology infrastructure, data centers, network facilities, or access-management systems.Assess physical risks to critical technology infrastructure, server rooms, data centers, communications facilities, and other technology assets.Coordinate integrated physical and cybersecurity controls where appropriate.Establish surveillance, alarm, intrusion detection, monitoring, patrol, and security-response requirements based on risk assessments.Manage the performance and effectiveness of CCTV, access-control systems, alarm systems, security monitoring, visitor-management systems, emergency communication systems, and other security technologies.Evaluate and implement appropriate safety and security technologies, monitoring systems, incident-management tools, emergency notification platforms, and reporting systems.Coordinate with Security Operations Centers, monitoring teams, security contractors, and technology providers where applicable.Develop and maintain security patrol, guard-force, control-room, incident-response, and escalation procedures.Manage security service providers, guarding companies, safety consultants, emergency-response providers, training providers, and other external service partners.Establish service-level agreements, scopes of work, performance requirements, KPIs, staffing requirements, response-time standards, and reporting requirements for external providers.Monitor contractor performance and conduct periodic service reviews, audits, inspections, and performance assessments.Ensure security personnel and safety service providers receive appropriate training, qualifications, equipment, instructions, and supervision.Establish security staffing models, shift coverage, contingency arrangements, backup resources, and emergency-response coverage requirements.Coordinate with Human Resources on employee safety, workplace security, personnel protection, emergency staffing, and critical-role considerations.Develop employee safety and security programs covering workplace safety, personal security, travel security, emergency awareness, incident reporting, and protective behaviors.Establish procedures for employee, contractor, visitor, and customer safety during normal operations and emergency situations.Develop travel-security and journey-management requirements where employees or contractors travel to higher-risk locations.Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate should have experience in safety, security, HSE, physical security, emergency management, crisis response, risk management, business continuity, occupational safety, security operations, or related fields.Experience working with multinational corporations, infrastructure, construction, energy, manufacturing, logistics, real estate, technology, hospitality, healthcare, government organizations, critical infrastructure, or other complex operating environments is highly advantageous.The candidate should demonstrate:Strong understanding of safety management, physical security, emergency preparedness, incident response, risk management, and organizational resilience.Proven experience developing and implementing integrated safety and security programs.Strong experience conducting safety risk assessments, security vulnerability assessments, threat assessments, site assessments, inspections, and audits.Experience developing safety policies, security procedures, emergency plans, evacuation procedures, security response plans, and operational protocols.Strong understanding of physical security, access control, surveillance, alarm systems, visitor management, perimeter security, security operations, and protective measures.Strong understanding of workplace safety, hazard identification, incident prevention, emergency response, fire safety, occupational risks, and safety management systems.Experience managing security officers, safety teams, emergency responders, contractors, consultants, and external service providers.Strong experience designing and facilitating safety drills, security exercises, emergency simulations, evacuation exercises, tabletop exercises, and crisis-response exercises.Experience investigating incidents, conducting root-cause analysis, developing corrective actions, and managing remediation programs.Strong understanding of emergency management, crisis response, business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational resilience.Experience coordinating with police, civil defense, emergency medical services, government agencies, regulators, municipalities, and other authorities.
