Safety Officer

Rakhat Construction is looking for a qualified Safety Officer to monitor and maintain health, safety, and environmental standards across construction and industrial project sites.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Safety, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 2 years of professional HSE experience in construction safety.Recognised health and safety certifications, such as: NEBOSH IGC, BSc, NVQ or equivalent qualification.All degree and safety certifications must be properly attested.Copies of professional training certificates are required.Proof of relevant experience is mandatory, such as previous visa records showing an HSE-related job title.Knowledge of UAE health and safety regulations and construction-site requirements.Strong skills in risk assessment, site inspections, incident reporting, toolbox talks, and safety documentation.Good communication, observation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively with workers, supervisors, subcontractors, engineers, and management.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor company and project HSE policies.Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe conditions.Ensure compliance with approved method statements, risk assessments, and permit-to-work procedures.Monitor the proper use of PPE and enforce safe working practices.Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.Report and investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts.Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, training records, and safety documentation.Monitor high-risk activities, including work at height, lifting, excavation, hot work, and confined-space work.Coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to resolve safety issues.Promote a strong safety culture across the project site.
