Location: UAEJob SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Safety Officer with strong hands-on experience in MEP construction and high-rise building projects.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enforcing HSE standards across the project site and ensuring safe execution of all MEP activities.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct daily site safety inspections and identify hazards and unsafe practices.Monitor MEP activities including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting and ELV works.Ensure compliance with approved Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Permit-to-Work procedures.Monitor high-risk activities including work at height, hot work, lifting operations, scaffolding, electrical works and confined spaces.Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks and regular safety awareness sessions.Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with site safety procedures.Investigate and report incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions.Maintain HSE inspection records, reports and other safety documentation.Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors on safety matters.Follow up on corrective actions and ensure timely closure of safety observations.Support client/consultant HSE inspections and project audits.Qualifications & RequirementsDiploma/Degree in HSE, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.Minimum 5–6 years of relevant construction safety experience.Mandatory experience in high-rise building construction.Mandatory MEP construction/site experience.NEBOSH IGC / IOSH or equivalent HSE certification preferred.Good knowledge of construction safety standards, risk assessments and HSE procedures.UAE/GCC construction experience will be an advantage.Strong communication, coordination and site management skills.Preferred Candidate ProfileCandidates with proven experience working as a Safety Officer for an MEP contractor on high-rise building projects will be preferred. The candidate should be proactive, disciplined, and capable of independently managing day-to-day site safety requirements.
