Safety Officer

Key ResponsibilitiesHealth & Safety ComplianceImplement and monitor company HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards across assigned projects and facilities.Monitor contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure adherence to approved safety procedures.Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe acts, conditions, and potential hazards.Site Safety ManagementMonitor construction activities to ensure safe working practices are followed.Inspect work areas, equipment, tools, scaffolding, lifting operations, excavation works, electrical installations, and other high-risk activities.Ensure appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is being used correctly.Support the implementation of emergency response and evacuation procedures.Incident ManagementAssist in investigating accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.Prepare incident reports and support root-cause analysis.Track corrective actions and ensure they are closed within agreed timelines.Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, observations, and corrective actions.Reporting & DocumentationPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports as required.Provide management with regular updates regarding project safety performance and areas requiring attention.QualificationsDiploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field.1-5 Years of experience working on construction sites and with contractors and subcontractors.
