Safety Officer

We’re Hiring: Safety Officer | SSEMSaudi Services for Electro Mechanic Works Co. (SSEM) is looking for an experienced Safety Officer to manage HSE requirements and compliance on our project sites.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect the work site daily and correct unsafe methods and conditionsStop the job whenever unsafe acts or conditions are noticedPerform Toolbox Talks (TBT) and keep records of all daily and weekly safety meetingsReview the work permit system before tasks proceedMonitor the correct use and timely removal of safety barriers, and make sure signage is visible at risk areasMaintain inspection and testing records for equipment and tools, and carry out tool color codingJoin daily and weekly safety audits and make sure reported unsafe acts and conditions are correctedMaintain a safety discrepancy logbook in each work areaIssue daily, weekly and monthly safety reports (incidents, hazards, near misses, manpower and man-hours) to the Client Safety RepresentativeAssist the Site Safety Supervisor in training employeesFollow the client’s required safety officer ratio of 1:50Report to the Site Safety Manager, Engineer or SupervisorRequirementsDiploma or aboveAt least 5 years of experienceHSE certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or OSHA 30 HoursKnowledge of the construction industryGood communication and monitoring skillsAble to work under pressure and with minimal supervisionPrevious client approvals are a plus (SEC, SWA, RC, Marafiq, GACA, Aramco, etc.)
