Partnering with Dantec Dynamics helps organizations turn complex measurement data into actionable knowledge.Role Description The Sales and Applications Engineer is a full-time, customer facing role responsible for supporting customers throughout the sales and application lifecycle of Dantec Dynamics measurement solutions. This role includes engaging with prospective and existing clients to understand their technical needs, presenting product capabilities, and proposing appropriate turnkey or customized solutions. Day-to-day activities involve providing pre- and post-sales technical support, preparing demonstrations, application notes, and technical documentation, and coordinating testing and validation to ensure optimal system performance. The Sales and Applications Engineer collaborates closely with engineering, product, and support teams to address complex application challenges and contributes to continuous improvement of tools, workflows, and customer experience. The role also includes occasional virtual training, webinars, and remote consultations to help clients maximize the value of Dantec Dynamics’ technologies.Key Responsabilities• Achieve or exceed the annual sales budget for the assigned territory• Proactively identify and contact new potential customers in the assigned territory• Establish long-lasting relationships with key customers• Promote Dantec via social media such as LinkedIn, deliver presentations online or in person and attend conferences and exhibitions as required.• Address customer requests, advise on suitable product configurations, create and follow up on quotations • Monitor public tenders for relevant inquiries and respond as appropriate• Support and development of existing customers• Perform product demonstration and contract measurements using Dantec’s Fluid Mechanics products• Install and commission measurement systems at customer sites and provide user training as required• Plan sales and promotional activities within the allocated cost budget• Report on past, current and predicted performance of the local sales territories• Keep CRM up to date at all times on all customer interactions and sales prospects• Travel as required to visit customers and/or representatives in the assigned territories within the EU or worldwide as required.• Nurture and develop colleagues to deliver their best performance possible• Other tasks as assignedExperience, Skills and Education• Master's, diploma or doctorate in one of the fields of engineering, e.g. mechanical engineering or physics• Professional experience (desired but not essential)3-5 years in sales of laser-optic based research instrumentation for Mechanical Engineering applications, ideally Fluid MechanicsExperience managing sales staff or distributors considered a plus• Foundational understanding of fluid mechanics principles• Theoretical and practical knowledge of at least one of the measurement methods LDA, PDA, CTA, or PIV/PTV• Fluent in German and English• Strong communication skills and professional appearance• Strong self-motivation and positive, can-do attitude• Natural ability to take ownership of his/her area and the business• Solution-oriented and quality-conscious way of working• Proven technical ability to work with complex optical measurement systems and define experimental configurations based on the needs of an application.• Ability to structure technical responses to customers’ requirements and tenders, while still having a focus on the best solution from a commercial perspective for both the customer and Dantec alike.
