The Sales Associate will engage customers in the showroom, actively listen to their needs, and present Sleep Number products and solutions that enhance their sleep wellness. Daily responsibilities include demonstrating mattress and bedding features, explaining product benefits, guiding customers through the purchasing process, and meeting or exceeding individual and store sales goals. The role also involves maintaining store appearance, handling basic administrative tasks such as processing orders and financing applications, and supporting inventory management. Sales Associates collaborate closely with team members to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience aligned with Sleep Number’s brand standards.Qualifications Sales and customer service skills, including consultative selling, relationship-building, and the ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions.Communication and interpersonal skills, such as clear verbal communication, active listening, and the ability to explain product features in an accessible way.Basic technology and point-of-sale skills, including comfort using tablets or computers to process sales, financing, and customer records.Organization and reliability skills, including time management, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through on customer commitments.Ability to stand for extended periods, move mattresses or store fixtures with appropriate support, and work retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Prior retail or sales experience, particularly in consumer products or home furnishings, is preferred but not required.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or training in sales, business, or customer service is beneficial.Demonstrated commitment to inclusivity, professionalism, and adherence to company policies and ethical standards.
