Retail Sales Associate | Emeryville, CAFulltime salaried position with commissionOur client is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join a well-established specialty retail business. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, learning about products, and staying active throughout the day.You’ll help customers find products that suit their needs, preferences, and budget while supporting a polished, organized sales floor. Product training is provided, so prior industry experience is not required. This position is ideal for a dependable team player who is comfortable in an active retail and stockroom environment and enjoys a mix of customer service, sales, and physical work.ResponsibilitiesWelcome customers and learn about their needs, preferences, and budget.Guide customers through the sales floor and provide thoughtful product recommendations.Retrieve, display, organize, and return merchandise for customer viewings.Assist with sales transactions, special orders, returns, and point-of-sale activity.Help maintain a clean, organized, visually appealing sales floor and stock area.Receive inventory and assist with unloading, organizing, and restocking shipments.Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles when needed.Build product knowledge to confidently support customer questions and recommendations.Support store goals through excellent service, teamwork, and attention to detail.QualificationsPrior retail, customer service, or sales experience preferred.Friendly, professional communication skills and a service-oriented approach.Comfort working in an active retail and stockroom environment.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 lbs; heavier items may be handled with assistance.Comfort bending, reaching, moving merchandise, and using step stools or short ladders.Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.Basic math skills and confidence using a point-of-sale system.Curious, collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and pitch in where needed.
