scalable compensation programs that align individual performance with company objectives.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Sales Compensation Manager to lead the design, administration, analysis, governance, and continuous improvement of sales compensation programs.The role will develop compensation plans that align sales behaviors with strategic priorities, revenue growth, profitability, customer retention, productivity, and long-term business value.The successful candidate will combine compensation expertise, financial analysis, sales strategy, data analytics, operational discipline, and stakeholder management to deliver accurate, competitive, and scalable sales incentive programs.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Compensation StrategyDevelop sales compensation strategies aligned with corporate growth and commercial objectives.Translate business strategy into effective incentive structures.Ensure compensation programs encourage desired sales behaviors.Balance revenue growth, profitability, customer value, retention, and strategic priorities.Develop compensation principles, frameworks, policies, and governance standards.Review compensation structures as business models, markets, products, and sales channels evolve.Ensure plans remain competitive, scalable, understandable, and financially sustainable.Partner with senior leadership to establish compensation philosophy and strategic direction.Incentive Plan DesignDesign and maintain sales incentive plans for different sales roles and organizational structures.Develop commission, bonus, quota-based, accelerator, decelerator, and performance-based compensation models.Design plans for Account Executives, Business Development Representatives, Sales Development Representatives, Account Managers, Customer Success, Sales Leaders, Channel teams, and other eligible roles where applicable.Define performance measures, thresholds, targets, rates, accelerators, caps, guarantees, and payout mechanics.Align incentives with sales-cycle characteristics and revenue models.Develop plans that reward both individual and team performance where appropriate.Ensure plan mechanics are simple enough for employees to understand while supporting strategic business requirements.Quota & Target SettingLead or support annual and periodic sales quota-setting processes.Develop quota methodologies based on market opportunity, territory potential, historical performance, capacity, growth targets, and business strategy.Analyze quota attainment and distribution.Identify over- or under-assigned quotas.Recommend quota adjustments based on objective data.Support territory and account allocation decisions.Establish appropriate quota-setting governance.Monitor quota fairness and consistency across comparable roles.Develop scenario models for different quota and target assumptions.Commission Plan AdministrationManage the operational administration of sales compensation programs.Ensure commissions and incentive payments are calculated accurately and on time.Establish clear rules for bookings, billings, revenue recognition, collections, renewals, upsells, cross-sells, and other performance measures.Define treatment of cancellations, refunds, credits, contract amendments, disputes, clawbacks, and exceptional transactions.Coordinate commission calculations with Finance, Payroll, Sales Operations, and Revenue Operations.Maintain accurate participant and plan data.Ensure changes to plans and assignments are properly documented and approved.Sales Compensation ModelingBuild financial models to evaluate proposed compensation plans.Analyze expected compensation expense under different performance scenarios.Model payout curves, attainment distributions, accelerators, thresholds, and caps.Evaluate cost of sales and compensation-to-revenue ratios.Assess the financial impact of plan changes.Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis.Recommend plan designs that support target compensation while protecting company economics.Partner with Finance to validate compensation budgets and forecasts.Pay-for-Performance AnalysisAnalyze the relationship between sales performance and compensation outcomes.Evaluate quota attainment, productivity, payout levels, and sales results.Identify whether compensation plans are driving desired behaviors.Assess top-performer, median-performer, and low-performer outcomes.Identify unintended incentive effects.Recommend changes to improve sales productivity and performance.Monitor whether compensation rewards profitable and strategically valuable business.Compensation BenchmarkingConduct external benchmarking of sales compensation structures.Analyze market practices for base salary, variable compensation, OTE, commission rates, quotas, accelerators, and pay mix.Compare compensation structures by role, market, geography, segment, and seniority.Partner with HR and external compensation providers where appropriate.Identify competitiveness gaps.Recommend adjustments based on market data and internal affordability.Maintain relevant compensation benchmarks.Plan GovernanceEstablish sales compensation policies, standards, approval processes, and governance frameworks.Ensure compensation plans are reviewed and approved by appropriate stakeholders.Maintain clear documentation of plan mechanics.Establish rules for exceptions and non-standard arrangements.Ensure consistent application of compensation policies.Maintain audit trails for plan changes and adjustments.Monitor compliance with internal controls and applicable employment and compensation requirements.Partner with Legal, HR, Finance, and Payroll on compliance matters.Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate should have experience in Sales Compensation, Incentive Compensation, Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, Commercial Analytics, or related disciplines.The candidate should demonstrate:Proven experience designing and managing sales compensation programs.Strong understanding of commission, bonus, quota, accelerator, and incentive-plan structures.Experience supporting multiple sales roles and organizational models.Strong quota-setting and sales-performance analysis capabilities.Experience building compensation models and payout scenarios.Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.Understanding of sales economics, revenue models, margins, and profitability.Experience managing commission administration and payment processes.Strong understanding of compensation governance and internal controls.Experience resolving commission disputes and exceptions.Strong data-management and reporting capabilities.Experience with sales crediting, territory changes, account assignments, and organizational restructures.Strong stakeholder-management skills.Experience working closely with Sales, Finance, HR, Payroll, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, and executive leadership.Ability to explain complex compensation concepts clearly.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.Experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools is advantageous.Experience with sales compensation platforms is highly advantageous.Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is advantageous.Experience with compensation automation and AI-assisted analytics is advantageous.Strong understanding of sales-performance metrics and commercial KPIs.Experience in SaaS, technology, professional services, enterprise sales, B2B, financial services, or other complex sales environments is advantageous.Experience managing international or multi-country compensation programs is highly advantageous.UAE, GCC, Middle East, or multinational compensation experience is advantageous.Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Human Resources, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is highly advantageous.Professional qualifications in Compensation & Benefits, HR, Finance, Analytics, or related disciplines are advantageous.Strong written and verbal English communication skills; Arabic is advantageous for UAE/GCC environments.Ability to work independently in a fully remote and internationally distributed environment.Strong analytical, commercially aware, financially disciplined, detail-oriented, fair, process-driven, and results-focused mindset.
