The company has established technical centers in both Germany and the United States, along with a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in China.Bodorlaser Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of Bodor Laser, supporting business operations across North America.Role OverviewBodorlaser is seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Engineer/Account Executive to support continued growth across the West Coast, with primary market coverage in California, Oregon, and Washington.This is a full-cycle, field-based sales role combining new business development, consultative technical selling, opportunity management, and deal execution. The Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying and developing prospective customers, understanding manufacturing and application requirements, recommending appropriate laser cutting solutions, preparing proposals, managing commercial negotiations, and driving opportunities through close.This is not a traditional account maintenance role. Success requires a strong hunter mentality, disciplined pipeline management, comfort with complex capital-equipment sales, and the ability to work closely with customers and internal technical teams throughout the sales cycle.The position is remote, with regular customer-facing field activity and business travel throughout the region.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Market Expansion: Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, cold visits, in-person prospecting, networking, referrals, industry events, inbound leads, and other business development activities. Build prospective customer relationships and expand market presence within the assigned territory.Channel Development & Dealer Management: Identify, recruit, develop, and manage dealers, distributors, and other channel partners. Support partner onboarding, joint customer engagement, opportunity development, and ongoing channel growth.Full-Cycle Sales Management: Own the sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through discovery, solution development, proposal, negotiation, and deal closure. Maintain consistent follow-up and drive opportunities forward.Consultative Selling & Solution Development: Understand customers’ manufacturing processes, applications, production goals, and operational challenges. Recommend appropriate laser cutting solutions and equipment configurations in collaboration with internal technical teams.Presentations, Demonstrations & Pre-Sales Support: Deliver product presentations, proposals, demonstrations, and business cases. Coordinate sample testing, technical evaluations, and other pre-sales activities with internal teams.Quotations & Commercial Negotiations: Prepare quotations and commercial proposals and negotiate pricing, equipment configuration, delivery expectations, and other terms within company guidelines.Customer Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with prospective and existing customers and key stakeholders. Conduct regular site visits to identify needs, develop opportunities, and advance sales.Pipeline, CRM & Forecast Management: Maintain accurate CRM records, manage a healthy sales pipeline, and provide timely forecasts and updates on deal progress, risks, and support needs.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Operations, Service, Application Engineering, Finance, and parent-company technical teams to support deal execution and customer success.Market Intelligence & Industry Engagement: Monitor market trends, customer demand, competitors, and channel activity. Represent Bodorlaser at trade shows, open houses, conferences, and customer events.Perform other related duties as assigned.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.2+ years of experience in B2B sales, technical sales, or business development within industrial equipment, machine tools, manufacturing technology, automation, or a related technical environment.Demonstrated ability to develop new business, manage sales opportunities, and drive the full sales cycle.Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote, field-based environment.Experience using CRM systems to manage customer activities, pipeline, and forecasting.Ability to learn complex technical products and translate customer needs into practical solutions.Willingness to travel overnight approximately 25% or more based on business needs, primarily throughout California, Oregon, and Washington.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites.Professional fluency in written and spoken English.Working proficiency in written and spoken Chinese.Preferred Qualifications3+ years of experience selling laser cutting systems, CNC machinery, machine tools, industrial automation, capital equipment, or other complex manufacturing solutions.Familiarity with metal fabrication, sheet metal processing, CNC equipment, laser applications, or manufacturing operations.Proven success in new customer acquisition and complex B2B sales.Experience working in a cross-cultural or multinational business environment.Location and TravelThis is a fully remote, field-based position supporting customers and business opportunities across the West Coast, with primary coverage in California, Oregon, and Washington.Candidates based in California, Oregon, or Washington are strongly preferred due to the customer-facing nature of the role and regional travel requirements. Candidates located outside these states may be considered if they are willing to relocate to the region.Frequent travel to customer sites, industry events, demonstrations, and other business activities is required.CompensationThe anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $95,000 per year.Actual base salary will be determined based on multiple factors, including geographic location, relevant industry experience, technical knowledge, demonstrated sales capabilities, skills, and overall qualifications.In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for sales commissions and performance-based incentives.
