About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Engineer to join our team and support the growth of our industrial equipment business.The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background combined with proven sales experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to understand customer requirements and provide the right technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities and expand the existing customer base.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Identify customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, tenders, and technical/commercial proposals.
- Review technical specifications, datasheets, and customer inquiries.
- Liaise with international manufacturers and suppliers for technical and commercial support.
- Follow up on sales opportunities from initial inquiry through to order.
- Conduct customer visits and attend meetings and project discussions.
- Provide customers with product information and technical support.
- Identify market opportunities and monitor competitor activity.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the business.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales or engineering sales.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in industrial equipment, valves, steam and condensate systems, pumps, instrumentation, process equipment, or MRO products is highly preferred.
- Strong technical understanding with the ability to read and interpret specifications and datasheets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and commercially driven.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
