Team members collaborate with diverse clients and projects, contributing to durable, high-performance solutions for construction and industrial applications.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Sales Engineer will identify and develop new business opportunities, manage existing customer accounts, and promote Matex’s construction chemical solutions to contractors, consultants, and distributors. Daily responsibilities include conducting technical presentations, preparing proposals and quotations, and providing product recommendations that align with project specifications. The role involves coordinating with the technical and production teams to resolve customer issues, offering on-site technical support, and ensuring timely follow-up on inquiries. The Sales Engineer will also monitor market trends, competitor activities, and project pipelines to support sales forecasting and strategic planning.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, distributors, and other project stakeholders.Identify new business opportunities, project leads, and potential customers, and actively follow up to support sales growth.Understand customer and project requirements and recommend suitable construction chemical products and systems.Provide technical product information, application guidance, and basic troubleshooting support to customers and site teams.Conduct customer visits, site visits, product presentations, technical meetings, and product demonstrations as required.Prepare quotations, follow up on offers, and manage sales opportunities from initial inquiry through to order.Coordinate with internal teams on product availability, technical requirements, samples, deliveries, and customer requests.Monitor market activity, competitor products, pricing, and upcoming project opportunities to identify potential business.Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales opportunities, project activity, and follow-ups using relevant CRM and internal systems.Support exhibitions, marketing activities, product launches, and other business-development initiatives.Work closely with technical, operations, marketing, and other internal teams to ensure effective customer support and project execution.QualificiationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.3+ years of relevant professional experience in technical sales, sales engineering, construction, building materials, or a related field.Previous experience with building materials or construction chemicals is highly preferred. Experience with waterproofing, concrete repair, tile adhesives, grouts, protective coatings, or related products would be a significant advantage.Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and project requirements, with the ability to understand technical documentation and apply product knowledge to customer needs.Strong sales and customer service skills, including relationship building, negotiation, follow-up, and managing customer expectations.Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to understand, communicate, and recommend technical products and solutions based on project requirements.Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with basic CRM tools.Comfortable working with customers and visiting construction sites as part of the role.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced, project-driven environment.Self-motivated, organized, and eager to develop both technically and commercially within a growing company.Valid UAE driving license is preferred due to the nature of customer and site visits.Good command of English; Arabic or other languages would be an advantage.What We OfferOpportunity to develop both technical and commercial expertise within the construction chemicals industry.Exposure to a wide range of construction projects, products, and industry professionals.A supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth.The chance to contribute to the growth of an expanding UAE-based manufacturer.
